Ridgefield Little League – All-Star Season Overview
Ridgefield Little League will soon begin forming our All-Star softball teams to compete in the postseason tournaments this summer. These teams represent our league at the district level and may advance to state and regional championships.
Participation in All-Stars may be a significant commitment for players and families. Below is everything you need to know before registering your athlete for consideration.
Eligibility Requirements
-Must be registered and have participated in at least 8 regular season games in Ridgefield Little League’s Spring season
-Must reside or attend school within Ridgefield Little League boundaries
-Must be available for daily practices and tournament play beginning shortly after the regular season ends
-Must submit the following (only if selected):
• Original or certified state-issued birth certificate
• Proof of residency (3 forms) or school enrollment verification form (If you have declared your eligible child, work with your school administrators before school is released for the summer!)
Team Formation and Timeline
The Declaration period for the 2025 All-Star teams has ended.
Players will be notified and teams announced during Closing Ceremonies on 7 June 2025
Practices may begin on 8 June 2025.
All-Star Schedule:
June 9 & 11 – Affidavit signing 7-9 PM @ Luke Jenson
June 12th – Managers/coaches mandatory meeting 6 PM Softball 7:15 PM Baseball @ Luke Jenson
June 20th – Opening ceremonies for the International Tournament 5-7 PM @ HDLL
2025 Little League International Tournament Dates
Ridgefield is proud to host the 8-10 and 9-11 Baseball District All-Star Tournaments, and softball teams may be asked to assist with field support and other duties during this time
RLL anticipates the following teams at this time:
• 8/9/10 - Baseball & Softball
• 9/10/11 - Baseball
• Major (10/11/12) - Baseball & Softball
• Intermediate (50/70) - Baseball
• Juniors (13 /14) - Softball
Cost and Travel
The All-Star fee is $150 per player, which covers uniforms and tournament entry fees.
Families should also plan for potential travel expenses (lodging, meals, fuel) if their team advances beyond Districts.
Mandatory team fundraising may be required to help cover costs for State tournaments or beyond should teams progress this far into the tournament.
Expectations for Families
Practices may be held daily at the coach’s discretion
Missed practices or tournaments may result in ineligibility
Participation in the 4th of July Parade (RLL has severa floats in the parade)
Parents and family members are expected to model positive sportsmanship
Communication must go through the coaching staff at appropriate times only (not during games)
All-Star season is an exciting and challenging opportunity for players to grow as athletes, teammates, and representatives of Ridgefield. If you are ready to make the commitment and your player is eligible.
