RLL Fall Baseball & Softball 2023
Fall Ball is a season for Development and confidence building. Absent the “pressure” players may feel to win games that count in the standings during the spring and summer – in Fall Ball, players can go all-in on player development.
Fall Ball is a great time for reps, reps, and more reps. Time players may have spent during the regular season on situational training, for example, is likely better spent during Fall Ball on extra batting practice, extra turns in the field, and teaching more players (new and experienced) the fundamentals of more positions.
A goal for Fall Ball should be to develop skills to help the player advance next year. The payoff is many more well-rounded players who benefit from the chance to enter the next regular season with legitimately higher hopes for success. It also gives you a chance to recognize some diamonds in the rough to continue to develop.
This also allows parents who were interested in coaching the opportunity to volunteer in a less critical and shorter season to get their feet wet in coaching and hopefully be able to volunteer in the Spring Season to coach or assist.
Please note: Little Leagues is a fully volunteer organization from the Board Members to the Coaches to umpires and the operational staff. Sometimes there is a need to hire a Umpire or a Junior Umpire for a game, need help in prepping and the upkeep of fields or other misc. item required to run a Baseball or Softball Season, And thus RLL is required to charge a "Non-Volunteer" fee of $15 to help with these costs.
The registration fees are used to cover costs of the Fields being used at Abrams Park & RORC, Little League Charter and Insurance, Balls and equipment, Safety items, team gear, Jerseys and Hats for the players. We appreciate your attention to this information.
RLL will be registering Teams, Coaches and Players with the hope of having Coaches and enough players for each team in the various divisions to be able to play the Fall season effectively. If a team in a division is not able to have a volunteer coach or enough players, RLL will try various efforts to resolve and have a team for players to be on. If RLL is not able to have a volunteer coach or enough players, RLL will cancel that team or division and issue refunds to the players families.
