Baseball & Softball Divisions

T-Ball

Ages 5-6 - Provides basic fundamentals of the game and introduces players to the concept of team play. Batting is off a Tee and soft safety balls are used. Scores are not recorded and inning switches after everyone bats. There will be 8-10 games on Saturdays with 1 or 2 practices during the week. Coaches pick practice times and days. Boys & Girls are combined. Fee $85.

Pee Wee

Ages 7-8 - -- Baseball and Softball -- Players move up to coach pitch at Pee Wee level. Focus is on providing players a better understanding of the skills and concepts of the game. Basic skills are refined and kids play all positions. Teams switch offense and defense after 3 outs. There will be 15-18 games which will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Fee $95.

Minor

Ages 9-10 -- Baseball and Softball -- Regulation hardballs & softballs are used and live pitching is introduced. Kids move up on field size and stealing is allowed. This is the entry into competitive baseball & softball with increased emphasis on basic skills, situation decision making, and teamwork. Umpires, scorekeeping & pitch counts are introduced. All players must attend Player Evaluation and a draft system is used to form teams. There will be 15-18 games which will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Games will be played at Abrams Field and with other leagues in the county. Fee $110.

Major

Ages 11-12 - Baseball and Softball -- Advanced, competitive play with more consistent pitching. Emphasis improving the skills learned at previous levels . Situational concepts and strategy becomes a more involved part of the game. Scorekeeping, pitch counts, game scores, and standings are kept. All players must attend Player Evaluation and a draft system is used to form teams. There will be 15-18 games which will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Fee $110.

Intermediate

Ages 11-13 - Baseball Only -- primarily for 13-year-olds as a transition to the regulation size field. All games will be played on a 50' mound and 70' bases. The Intermediate division is also open to 12- and 11-year-olds wanting to experience a more competitive style of baseball using regulation baseball rules such as leading off and balks. All players must attend Player Evaluation and a draft system will be used to form teams. If not enough players sign-up, we will join forces with another league. Games will be played at Abrams Field and with other leagues in the county. Games will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Fee $110

Junior

Ages 13-14 - Baseball and Softball -- Advanced, competitive play on larger field. Players add higher skill and strategy to their game. Defensive situations and decision making, base running, bunting, and game strategy become a critical part of the game. Lead offs are allowed starting at this level. All players must attend Player Evaluation. There will be 15-18 games which will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Fee $110.
