Nick Logue Scholarship
Posted Jan 1, 2016

We are pleased to present an annual Ridgefield Little League Scholarship in honor of Nick Logue.

Ridgefield native, Nick Logue’s passion for the outdoors commenced on the fields of Abrams Park where our little league still plays today. As a youngster, he played little league baseball for years and then continued on to play for Hazel Dell Metro. Nick finished up his high school years as a Spudder for RHS football and graduated in 1996. Shortly after high school Nick started working for the city of Vancouver and ultimately took a position in the water department. As his family grew, his love of little league brought him back to Abrams where he coached his daughters’ pee wee team for two years and minor league softball for another year thereafter. Additionally, Nick served on the Ridgefield Little League board as the VP for Pee Wee & Tee Ball.

Each fall, Nick’s booming laughter could be heard down on the soccer fields where he coached for four years. His fondness of the Ridgefield community and fervor for sports were witnessed in his devotion to each child he coached through the gentle style in which he encouraged and taught them. He will forever be remembered for his nurturing yet jovial demeanor, and the “kiddos” who were fortunate to have him as a coach will be eternally touched by his kindness and enthusiasm.
